How does BodyWorn manage retrofits and keep from losing uniforms?BodyWorn utilizes a tagging method that allows us to know who the uniform belongs to, where/which agency the uniform is, and what type of uniform it is. This tag also includes a contact with the designated agency POC, in the unlikely event that something is misplaced.
- What needs to be included in every shipment?
To reach our goal deployment date, we send out retrofit bags that include a BodyWorn tag that will need to be included in every uniform that is being sent to us. This placed inside the right chest pocket, along with a packing slip is everything that needs to be included in the shipment. Any uniforms that do not have tags will be shipped back to the agency. This tag provides permission from the uniform's owner to retrofit the uniform for BodyWorn.
- How long does it take to get back a retrofit?
Generally, we offer a 7-10 day turn around on most uniforms. Subject to change with uniform type and amount.
- What is the recommended care of a BodyWorn Uniform?
We recommend that the garments be washed and tumble dried. We do not recommend getting uniforms pressed or dry cleaned.
- What modifications can my local store do?
If your local store is a certified BodyWorn Reseller, they will be able to modify shirts and vest carriers. All tactical, polo, and jackets will have to be modified at BodyWorn's Atlanta Uniform Studio.
- What does tag before you bag mean?
The uniforms that are sent in to be retrofitted for BodyWorn will require a tag to be placed in each uniform being shipped. This tag will need to be filled out by the owner with their name, badge number (if applicable), and what type of uniform is being sent. This tagged uniform, along with others, will be placed inside the provided retrofit bag. This bag will be given to the designated person to have it shipped to BodyWorn.
- What is the difference in a Retrofit and a Modification?
A retrofit is an existing uniform that is currently being altered for BodyWorn. A modification is a uniform that is being purchased from a local store or manufacturer with the BodyWorn alteration added.
- Can I order a uniform BodyWorn ready?
Yes! We are partnered with stores and manufacturers across the United States that are certified to install BodyWorn. This customization will need to be requested by the purchaser.
